1. From where we can download the PGD Prospectus?

2. How to apply for a course?

At first, an eligible applicant should registered with BIM website (bim.org.bd) and then he may apply for a course logging in to the website and paying Tk.500 + Online Service Charge

3. Who is eligible to apply for the PGD Courses?

Any graduate can apply for enrolment in our courses.

4. When will the courses start?

Next Session of PGD Courses will start in January.

5. How much is the course fee?

Course fee for Session 2024:

i. For the Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial Management, Financial Management and Marketing Management, the course fee is Tk. 45,000/- (Taka forty five thousand) only per participant for the full course.

ii. For the Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Science the course fee is Tk. 50,000/- (Taka fifty thousand) only per participant for the full course.

b. Foreign Nationals

For foreign nationals, the course fees for the Post-Graduate Diploma in Human resource Management, Industrial Management, Financial Management and Marketing Management is US $ 2,500 (two thousand five hundred) only while for Computer Science it is US $ 3,000 (three thousand)

only per participant for the full course, payable at one time.

Tuition fees cover the cost of lecture sessions, use of BIM’s computer facilities (when required) local visits to business institutions (if any) and examinations.

6. Is there any option to pay in installments?

For PGDHRM, PGDFM, PGDMM and PGDIM:

Participants may pay the fee in two installments: the first installment is Tk. 33,750/-(Taka thirty three thousand seven hundred fifty) only to be paid at the time of admission and the rest Tk. 11,250/- (Taka eleven thousand two hundred fifty) only is payable in second installment within the next two months from the last date of admission.

For PGDCS:

Participants may pay the fee in two installments: The first installment is Tk. 37,500/- (Taka thirty seven thousand five hundred) only to be paid at the time of admission and the rest Tk. 12,500/- (Taka twelve thousand five hundred) only is payable in second installment within the next two months from the last date of admission.

7. How will an applicant be selected for admission?

No admission test will be held. Based on previous academic results and experiences, participants will be selected. A fresh graduate is also eligible to apply and will be selected, if his academic results are good. Fresh graduates will be highly appreciated, if they apply for the Day Batch of PGDHRM.

8. What is the minimum score to be selected for a course?

It is not possible to predict. Because, it all depends on number of applicants and their academic results. If you apply for day batch, it is comparatively easier to get a chance.

9. What is the class days and timing?

Class Days: Saturday through Thursday (All PGDs)

Class Timing:

PGDHRM Day batch (Dhaka): 09:30 to 12:45;

PGDHRM Evening batch (Dhaka, Chattogram & Khulna): 18:45 to 21:45

PGDCS, PGDIM, PGDMM, PGDMM (Dhaka Campus only): 18:45 to 21:45

10. How to pay application fee?

Application fee should be paid either by Cards (VISA, Master, American Express), Mobile Banking (bKash, Surecash, MCash, MyCash, t-cash, Dmoney, AB) and Net Banking (AB, Islami Bank, City Touch, MTB, Bank Asia).

11. What is the duration of the PGD Courses?

1-year long PGD Courses divided into two separate Parts. Part -I consists of 5 subjects.After successful completion of Part-I, participants will be eligible to attend the Part-II, which contains 5 subjects and 1 term-paper and Viva-voce.

12. Where will be the courses held?

PGDHRM Courses will be held in DHAKA (Day and Evening), Chattogram (Day and Evening) and Khulna (Evening only) Campuses.

All other PGD Courses (CS, FM, IM and MM) will be held in Dhaka Campuses only (Evening)

14. Why will a student prefer to join a PGD course? Is there any job placement opportunities?

A course will enhance skill, and thus help to obtain a job or help to develop career. But it will not guarantee a job.

There is no job placement opportunities in BIM. But during the course, a participant will be acquainted with lot of professionals, and it will help him to create job opportunities.
